Court clears Jonathan to contest presidency

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has been cleared to contest in the 2023 presidential election by a Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa.

Justice Isa Hamma Dashen gave the judgement on Friday May 27.

The high court also ruled that the former President’s right to vie for the office of president again cannot be stopped by any retroactive law.
