A female Nigerian student who combines school and business has celebrated three years of selling Akara to survive.

In the . shared on her page, she explains how she started the Akara (bean cake) business in 2019 and merged that with school after she got admission the same year.

According to her, there were days she felt discouraged and depressed with thoughts to quit but she kept going.
Currently a 300 level student with a year left to graduate from the university, she said she has never regretted the decision to sell Akara for one day.
To celebrate her three years anniversary, Amaka, explained in a separate . that she treated herself to a good meal at a restaurant and stopped by the pool to swim a bit.
In her post, she said;
On 20th November 2019, I started my Akara business. I gained admission that same year it wasn’t easy combining both school and business. One day accident occurred in my shop but thanks to God I didn’t open that day as I was sick. At times I overthink myself cuz I feel I wasn’t doing enough for myself. At times I feel depressed and cry my eyes out.
I kept on pushing no matter how old the sun is. At times under the rain. I continued my business with much happiness. I started glowing. I never regretted making this fruitful decision for one day. Now I’m currently in 300 level. Just one more year left for me. This business made me. Today makes it 3 years I started frying Akara. Happy 3years anniversary to me.
Oyibo lady celebrates 27 years marriage anniversary with Nigerian husband

The life coach and business consultant in a LinkedIn post described her husband as someone who is so loving, caring, supportive and tolerant.
