The fight will take place on August 20, 2022, in Saudi Arabia, and both fighters are expected to receive large sums of money.

According to the Daily Mail, the site fee alone will cost around £92 million, nearly double what the Sheiks paid to host the inaugural Saudi Arabia Grand Prix.

Joshua, who pocketed the majority of the Sheiks’ £66 million site fee in 2020 to fight Andy Ruiz Jr, will demand half that amount this time.

Despite fan outrage over the £24.95 cost of streaming the September fight, approximately 1.2 million people bought it. A repeat would increase the prize pool by £30 million, bringing it to around £130 million.

Due to a 50/50 split, the British will receive a minimum of £65 million. This figure, however, excludes ticket sales and sponsorship deals, which, according to The Sun, could bring the total closer to £100 million.

Following his departure from Sky Sports, the 32-year-old British-Nigerian boxer has also signed a mouth-watering £100 million deal with DAZN to stream his highly anticipated rematch fight in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision last September at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, depriving him of his WBC, WBO, WBF, and IBO titles in September 2021. In order to reclaim his titles, Joshua quickly invoked his rematch clause.
