Man And His Friends Remanded In Police Custody For Assaulting His Girlfriend Over Infidelity

The Kwara state police command has remanded a young man and his friends seen in a viral video assaulting his girlfriend over infidelity.

Two days ago, a video surfaced on the internet where a young woman was laid low and viciously flogged by her boyfriend and his friends over infidelity claims.

The police command has released photos of Jimoh Abdulfatai, the young man who conspired with his friends to assault his girlfriend over claims that she was cheating on him.

According to reports, the suspect Fatai invited his girlfriend, Aduke, to his house where he had gathered a couple of his friends to flog her for allegedly cheating on him. When she arrived at his apartment, she met some of his friends, all males, in his living room.

The friends of the boyfriend held the hands and legs of the victim, stripped her half-naked, and flogged her. The video from the incident was shared online and went viral.

“The statement released on Thursday, June 23, SP Okasanmi Anahi revealed that the suspects have been remanded after being arraigned in court.
The statement reads;

“The Kwara State Police Command wishes to inform the general public of her swift action in response to a viral video that trended on many social media platforms, showing a young lady by the name Ayomide Afolayan, who was seen being [email protected], [email protected] and indecently a§saulted by her supposed boyfriend named Jimoh Abdulfatai.

Her hands and legs were tightly held by four other friends of the first suspect named, Olamide Babatunde, Afeez Ayomide, Agboola Abdulsamad, and Yakubu Mustapha for severe effect. The Police in Shao got wind of this highly despicable incident which prompted a swoop on the scene; the suspects were rounded up, the victim liberated and was taken to hospital for treatment.”
