Manufacturers Arrested For The Production Of Illegal Alcoholic Drinks In Akwa Ibom State

A group of manufacturers of illegal and dangerous alcoholic beverages was reportedly apprehended by the authorities after their hideout was raided.

According to the social media user who announced the news on social media, he accompanied a friend of his by the name of Akan Tommey who is the Chairman of the Eket Local Government Area to apprehend these illegal alcoholic producers.

He said that his friend was led by a team of security and staff of the State Ministry of Environment to raid the grounds where these alcoholic beverages were being manufactured.

He lamented about the fact that it is very disheartening and inconsiderate of some human being eager to make a living by endangering the lives of other human beings.

In other news, Andrew Ogabor, a 34-year-old man has reportedly been arrested and dragged to the Yaba Magistrate Court in Lagos for allegedly drugging a young lady, raping her and posting her nakedness on social media.

According to reports, Andrew was said to have lured his victim into an apartment Bariga area of Lagos, laced her drink with drugs, had sexual relations with her without her consent and also filmed her nakedness and posted it on social media.

Further reports stated that the defendant threatened to kill the victim after she confronted him about the incident. He was then reported to the police and he was apprehended.

His brother, Bernard Ogabor who was reported to have obstructed the police after they went to arrest Andrew was also arrested in the process.

Upon interrogation, it was discovered that Andrew filmed the victim’s nakedness and posted the photos and videos on social media just to humiliate her.
