Nigeria Has Remained Together Only By God’s Grace – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari, has divulged that it is just by the grace of God that Nigeria is still united as a single country.
The president made the submission when he paid a visit to the Emir of Daura, Dr Umar Faruk Umar, at his Palace.
Buhari explained that the grace of God had kept Nigeria united as a country despite a protracted 30-month civil war that sought to tear the nation apart.
Buhari said: “We want to thank God always for keeping us together as a country. From January 15, 1966, the country was thrown into political crisis. We had a 30-month civil war that resulted in the loss of about a million lives,”
“We still thank God for keeping us together. We remain grateful to all those who showed interest in our unity and progress. May God continue to bless them,”
In another development, President Muhammadu Buhari has been accused of causing chaos in the APC after failing to choose the zone in the country the presidency should be drafted from.
A chieftain of the APC had a chat with the Daily Independent, where he opined that the plan to vote for a candidate is not right since the major thing party folks argue on is the issue of zoning.
He said: “I am a leader in the party and I can categorically tell you that there is no clear direction from the president as to where we are going. From the way things are going, I think it is high time the president spoke to us in the language we understand so that everybody can fall in place. Silence is no longer golden.
“The major bone of contention in the party now is the issue of zoning. Where will the next presidential candidate of the party come from? If you recall, few weeks ago when Governor Ben Ayade defected to APC, the chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Atiku Bagudu, said the APC will throw the presidential ticket open. The president has not said anything on that.
