topetedela: Really sorry about this, Mary. It’s so freaking sad. We really need to start confronting and interrogating certain aspects of Nigerian culture that, on closer examination, don’t make sense.

nazoekezie: igbo burial is a whole industry…. it’s crazy! Those villagers just sit and wait for people to die so they can tear a mourner apart… I was so furious during my dad’s burial, UMU ADA demanded I give them OVALTINE instead of MILO😤 I watched people eat and make merry over a man that died at 53, his kids were yet to finish school yet we had to meet every demand. I hate to remember it but igbo burial seriously needs to be addressed.
