Rangers put up Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey for sale for £25m

Rangers have put a £25m price tag on Super Eagles defensive sensation, Calvin Bassey, amid growing interest from the Premier League.

 Aston Villa and West Ham are among the top-flight clubs keen on Bassey, 22.

Rangers are hoping to keep hold of one of the stars of their season, Bassey, but are still ready to accept bids for the defender. 

The £25m price tag could persuade Rangers to do business after their top previous record sale of £16m following Nathan Paterson’s January move to Everton.

The Nigeria international  joined Rangers from Leicester in 2020 for just £230,000 and has shot to prominence this season following a series of displays.
