Singer Timi Dakolo Calls Out INEC Officials, Accuses Them Of Soliciting Funds From People Who Want To Register For Voter’s Card

Nigerian recording artiste, Timi Dakolo on Tuesday, June 21 has called out officers of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for intentionally delaying the registration process for the Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) so as to demand funds from people who want to register.

The musician stated that INEC officials should desist from engaging in mediocre work and become more efficient with the registration process.

Timi Dakolo also complained about how there is not enough work tools and personnel to work with “over 500 people” who want to get their PVCs. The popular musician stated further that the poor service is beginning to frustrate people, hence, INEC officials should do better.

His tweet reads;

Dear @inecnigeria, it is beginning to look like an intentional act to frustrate people who want to get their PVCs.
Over 500 people coming to get their PVCs and you only have 1 computer to attend to everyone.
People are complaining that they had to pay to speed up the process.
