Afropop singer, Yemi Alade has proudly shown off her mother and issued a warning to the public.

The singer, who rarely displays her family members, surprised her fans when she posted a twin photo with her mother on her Instagram page.

Accompanying the cute mother and daughter photo was a stern caption warning people not to mess with her mom.

She wrote:

“Mum and I. If you mess with Her, you mess with me. If you mess with me, you mess with her”. A Lioness Pact”.

Glamsquad recalls that the last time, the ‘Johnny’ crooner publicly flaunted her mum was on her birthday in 2021.

The singer had expressed appreciation to her mum for birthing her, nurturing, blessing, tolerating, and understanding her.

She stated that she will always shower her mother with praise and love as long as God is watching over them.

She wrote:

I’m so thankful that you chose me, birthed me, nurtured me ,love me, bless me ,tolerate me. Understand me, guide me. I just want to shower you with love and praises for as long as God is on the throne in our lives. Happy birthday Mummy @helenmamaafrica

Brief biography of Yemi Alade 

Yemi Eberechi Alade is one of Nigeria’s biggest Afropop and R&B singers who shot into limelight in 2014 after she released her first single, ‘Johnny’.

Before this, she won the Peak Talent show in 2009 and began to work her way to the top.

Yemi originally hails from Ondo State Nigeria. Her father, the late James Alade was a retired commissioner of police.  However, her mother – Helen Uzoma is from the South-East.
