On-and-Off Ghanaian singer, Deborah Owusu-Bonsu, well known as Sister Derby has also taken a swipe at the Law Maker, Sam Dzata George who is the member of parliament for the Ningo-Prampram constituency following his stance on the new LGBT bill draft in Ghana’s parliament.
Sam George earlier in a tweet indicated that he is overwhelmed with the support the bill has gotten from Ghanaians on social media.
He also schooled the likes of Kwadwo Sheldon and Sister Derby who advocate for the LGBTQ community that homosexuality is based on preferences and as such, is not absolute or unregulated.
I have been overwhelmed by the massive support even here on a very ‘liberal’ platform like Twitter for our Bill on the LGBTQI+ menace. Homosexuality is NOT a human right. It is a sexual preference. Preferences are not absolute or unregulated. We SHALL pass this Bill through, he wrote.
Sam George further clapped back at naysayers believing that their attacks against him and the movement are politically affiliated but that wouldn’t stop him from passing the bill.
I have seen the attacks from a few goons aligned to a political inclination based on my leadership on the PMB against LGBTQI+ in Ghana. Bow your heads in shame. Nothing would stand in our way to get this Bill passed by the House. Take your perversion and let me speak my truth!, he stated on Twitter
Reacting to the tweet, Sister Derby who has since supported the LGBTQ community said that the politician is so obsessed with people’s sexual orientation, thus he should be ashamed of himself.
YOU are rather full of perversion. So obsessed with people’s sexual orientation. Shame on you, you backward thinker!!!, she slammed him.
